Blog Discussion

• The new blog was demonstrated
• We need club members who are willing/wanting to write "op-ed" pieces for the blog, contact Carrie or Amanda if you are interested.
• It will be a platform for any club member to discuss current issues or issues that important to them that they may/may not get a chance to do in the classroom
• Facebook page was also shown

Dues were due at this meeting. If you still need to pay your dues, you need to contact Carrie to arrange to do so.

Committee Meetings:

We split into two informal committees to discuss future Community Service projects and Fundraising Ideas

Community Service Projects

• October 14- Boshears Ground Loop- 7am-930 - We need to get a list of members committed to attending this as soon as possible. Contact Amanda (polsciclub@aug.edu) asap!
• November 13- Head of the South- all day
• Food Bank- Around thanksgiving
• Operation Christmas Child- (these have to be made and submitted in Nov. More details to come)
• Soldiers Care Packages- next semester

Fundraising

• Raffle - raffle off the purchase of someone's textbooks for the Spring semester (up to $500 in value)
• Dunk Tank?
• Trivia Night
• Continuing our Sponsorship Drive
